Referral Terms and Conditions 2018

1. Definitions 
1.1 Referee - A person who recommends a potential New Associate to Imperial Medical Staffing and Cromwell Medical Staffing. 
1.2 Referrer - A New Associate who has not previously worked for Imperial Medical Staffing, Cromwell Medical Staffing and other ICG brands or an Associate who has not worked for Imperial Medical Staffing, Cromwell Medical Staffing and other ICG brands within the last 12 months. 
1.3 Associate – Someone who has previously worked for Imperial Medical Staffing or Cromwell Medical Staffing. 
1.3 New Associate - Someone who has not previously worked for Imperial Medical Staffing, Cromwell Medical Staffing and other ICG brands or who has not worked for Imperial Medical Staffing, Cromwell Medical Staffing and other ICG brands within the 12 months prior to the Recommendation Date. 
1.4 Referral Date - The date that the recommendation is received by Imperial Medical Staffing and Cromwell Medical Staffing. 
1.5 Referral Bonus - Payment to the Referee or payment to the Referrer.
1.6 Qualifying criteria - The criteria that must be met by the Referee and Referral. 
1.7 Scheme - The individual scheme that a division of ICG Medical has created to provide the opportunity for recommendations to be made and bonus payments earned. 
1.8 Compliant - Imperial Medical Staffing and Cromwell Medical Staffing follow Recruitment and Employment Confederation Best Practice Guidelines. Under these guidelines checks are required on New Associates  prior to the New Associate commencing work. These include: right to work, proof of identity, DBS enhanced disclosure, occupational health and immunity, professional registration, specific training, competency interview, work history, references, professional and educational certificates. Once a New Associate’s file is complete in accordance with the guidelines, the New Associate’s file is deemed Compliant and they are eligible to work.

2. Scheme 
2.1 The Imperial Medical Staffing and Cromwell Medical Staffing Refer a Friend Scheme is applicable to Referee who refer qualified Nurses, Midwives or ODPs looking to work in the UK and Referrer who complete the required working hours with Imperial Medical Staffing or Cromwell Medical Staffing. This scheme cannot be used in conjunction with any other “refer a friend” scheme within Imperial Medical Staffing and Cromwell Medical Staffing. This Scheme will apply to referrals made between 1 July 2018 to 30 March 2019. 

3. Qualifying Criteria 
3.1 Referral - For a referral to qualify it must be submitted to the Associate’s consultant or the refer a friend team via email, post or the online form on the Imperial Medical Staffing or Cromwell Medical Staffing websites. Referrals can also be made via telephone call to the consultant but must be recorded by the consultant on the Referee’s and/or Referrer’s file in order for the Referrer to be validated. The referral must include the Referrer’s name, profession, contact details and the location where the Referrer requires work. The outcome of the recommendation will be for the relevant consultant to contact the Referrer with the intention of securing them work engagements. 
3.2 Professions - For a recommendation to qualify, the Referrer must be a qualified Nurse, Midwife or ODP. 
3.3 Worked hours - The Referral Bonus will be payable once the Referrer has worked 200 hours with Imperial Medical Staffing or Cromwell Medical Staffing within the first three months of their first shift after becoming Compliant and those hours have been authorised and accepted by Imperial Medical Staffing’s or Cromwell Medical Staffing’ client.

4. Referral Bonus payment
4.1 Bonus amount - The Referee and Referral are entitled to claim the bonus amount of £100 each once the Qualifying Criteria have been met by both the Referee and Referrer. 
4.2 Claiming bonus - It is the responsibility of the Referee and Referrer to claim their Referral Bonus Payment no later than three months after the Referrer has completed the required hours by contacting their consultant or the refer a friend team. 
4.3 Payment - Bonus payment is made to both the Referee and Referrer once the Referrer has met the Qualifying Criteria and either the Referee or Referrer has requested payment. All Referral Bonuses are taxable. Tax will be deducted at source for PAYE Associates. For those working through an umbrella company or personal service company (PSC), the employer, ie the umbrella or PSC, will be responsible for the deduction of tax. Bonus payments are non transferable.

5. General terms 
Imperial Medical Staffing and Cromwell Medical Staffing reserve the right to reject a Referral Bonus payment request 
a. If the Referrer has previously registered with Imperial Medical Staffing, Cromwell Medical Staffing or other ICG brands within the past 12 months;
b. If the Referee or Referral have not met the Qualifying Criteria;
c. If the Referrer works for a division of ICG Medical that does not run a refer a friend scheme;
d. If the referral has been accepted via telephone call but not been recorded on the Referrer’s and/or Referee’s file; or
e. If Imperial Medical Staffing or Cromwell Medical Staffing see fits to do so due to any other reason or circumstance that they deem justified. 
Imperial Medical Staffing and Cromwell Medical Staffing reserve the right to
a. vary the terms and conditions of the Scheme at its absolute discretion; or
b. cancel or discontinue the Scheme without having to pay any outstanding claims, introduce a replacement scheme, offer compensation or inform Associates.
